Em Higgins (b. 2002) is a photographer in New York, NY making images about queer subculture and New York nightlife. Often working with self-portraiture, they explore the perversion of self-pleasure. Throughout their work, photography is a documentarian tool, fervently recording their loved ones in fear of forgetting. From capturing strippers in trees to ravers in their element, they find the surreal hidden in the mundane of every day. ★
