Em Higgins (b. 2002) is a photographer in New York, NY making images about queerness, the body, and female sexuality. They approach desire head-on through self-portraiture, confronting the perversion of self-pleasure. Throughout their work, photography is also a documentarian tool, fervently recording their loved ones in search of kinship and in fear of forgetting. From capturing strippers in trees to gay ravers in their element, they find the surreal hidden in the mundane of every day.
